Lake Pannecière is the largest and most fish‑rich lake in the Morvan. Classified in 2nd category, it is private domain and offers many spots that make it a typical lake for predator fishing. Whitefish are abundant with record specimens. The lake has many inlets and coves, sometimes only accessible by boat (depending on the period).

The lake is a reservoir. From the end of July, the dam gates are opened to feed the Yonne, and the water level drops. Near your gîte there will always remain a river, and a few kilometers away there is always enough water to fish. By late November the gates are closed again and the water level rises.

A fishing license is mandatory. You can buy your license at Camping Les Soulins. If the campsite is closed, please ask the Tourist Office.
